Change default WordPress database prefix with a very simple plugin. This is indeed one of the crucial security measures you can apply to your WordPress websites and is just a matter of few clicks. And after changing the database prefix you can as well deactivate the plugin.

Most of the WordPress websites uses the default wp_ prefix – this is definitely not a good measures in terms of WordPress security. Thus, it is highly suggested to change the default database prefix with something unique.

However, please do not forget to backup your database before making any changes. If you have to revert back or anything, then simply update the database with the old one and change the table prefix to wp_ at the wp-config.php file.
