DeepSeek server is busy: How to install DeepSeek on a local PC?
Since the DeepSeek server is quite busy, here is how you can install it locally on your computer. Here is a complete guide on how you can install this on your computer—the tutorial is on using Windows, but you can install it on the Mac as well.
You will require to download a few software to run DeepSeek locally. First, download Ollama for PC and install. The installation time can take some time.
After installing Ollama, search for the DeepSeek model you want to choose. There are several models available. The higher the models, the better the result; however, it highly depends on your computer configurations too, as it requires more resources for better results.
After choosing the model you want, simply copy the code and run it on the command prompt of your Windows. This will download all the files, as per your chosen model. This download can take some time.
So the DeepSeek is successfully installed on your PC. You can ask questions on the CMD and it will answer accordingly. However, CMD doesn’t look nice in the interface, so for a better experience we will be using anything LLM.
Simply google anything LLM and download and install the software. After that, you can create your own workshop where you can choose Ollama and DeepSeek model you have downloaded. This way, you can upload documents and create new threads for your queries.
Please do give it a try. Thank you very much.
