So, I was trying to get enrolled in Google AdMob, but my application was rejected multiple times. Each time, it said that I already had an existing Google account. I closed AdMob and tried again from that account, but it still said I already had an account, pointing to different accounts here and there. Because of this, I could never complete the process. I had been trying since December 2025, but only in March 2026 was my Google AdMob finally approved.

What actually worked was discovering that there were two AdSense accounts – one under my name and another under my brother’s name. Please note that this second AdSense account was fully registered under a different person, with different tax information and everything. I’m not sure why this happened – maybe because we shared PCs or the same internet network, but it prevented me from enrolling in AdMob.

After receiving the final payment in my brother’s account, we decided to close one of the Google AdSense accounts. To close an AdSense account, go to Account > Settings > Account Information, and then select “Close Account.” At first, I only closed the AdSense account, but later I also closed the AdSense account linked to YouTube, so the account was completely shut down.

To be on the safe side, I added the same email as a user while applying for Google AdMob. After a few hours, Google finally approved my AdMob account.

Now, we will need to apply for a new AdSense account for my brother using a completely different email ID. If anyone else is having issues with duplicate accounts, simply closing the AdMob account will not help. You will need to completely close the other AdSense account, even if it belongs to a different person. We tried everything; from emails to support to forums, and nothing worked. Also, if there is a remaining balance, closing an AdSense account can take up to 90 days.
