How to Trim or Cut Audio in VLC Media Player

Here is how you can trim audio using VLC Media Player. First, open the audio you want to trim with VLC Media Player. Right-click on the file and select Open with VLC Media Player. After this, go to Tools > Preferences, then click on Input/Codec. Under Record Directory or Filename, click on Browse and select the folder where you want to save your trimmed recordings.

After that, go to View and click on Advanced Controls. You will see new buttons appear. Use the toggle to mark where you want to start trimming, click on Record, play the music, and then stop recording when you want to end the trim. Pause the music after stopping the recording. Make sure to use the toggle exactly where you want to start trimming, and once done, your trimmed audio will appear in the selected folder.

By the way, if you don’t have VLC Media Player, simply go to its official website or Google “VLC Player” and download and install it. It is absolutely free and a great tool for simple audio trimming and other media tasks. Thank you very much.
