If I were an Android user, I would definitely turn this app setting off for better privacy. For that, go to Settings and search for Apps. Please note that these settings might look different depending on your phone model and Android version. Anyway, on Android 13, tap on the three dots at the top right and look for Special Access. If you do not have these exact settings, then kindly search for Usage Data Access and open it.

On Usage Data Access you will find lots of system apps that you may actually not be using. I would definitely turn “Ad Privacy” off for my own privacy, but you can scroll through the list and check for more apps that you may not want to have usage access. This is a very simple way to improve privacy and control unnecessary background access on your Android device.
