Here’s an alternative way to convert HEIC images to JPG or PNG format using a free tool known as HEIC Converter on your Windows computer. This tool does have paid versions, but the free version worked great for us too.

To begin, type “Microsoft Store” on the start menu and search for HEIC Converter. You’ll find many applications, but download the one with high ratings. Then, download and install the tool. After that, simply right-click on the HEIC image and select HEIC Converter from the options. You will also find the option to convert the image to JPG/PNG.
