How to Upload Files on Envato (CodeCanyon) Using FTP?

Here is how you can use FTP to upload files on CodeCanyon Envato. It is recommended to use FTP if the file size is more than 300MB.

To use FTP to upload the file, click on Try Our FTP Service and then click on Audio. It doesn’t really matter whatever option you click, as it will be uploaded in the FTP and you can use it to submit your apps.

Anyway, the first thing is, we need to generate an API Key. Click on the API link, give any token name, and create a token. This is your FTP password. The FTP username is your Envato username, port is 21, and host is ftp.marketplace.envato.com.

Now you need a software to upload files. We use FileZilla. If you do not have it, then download FileZilla Client and install it to your PC. Installation process is very simple. Once this is done, open FileZilla, input the host, username, password, and port number, and quick connect. Then upload your files — this will take some time depending on the file size and your internet connection.

After this is done, come back to your CodeCanyon page and wait for a while till the files are seen here. Please wait for a few minutes till the file comes here. You might have to refresh a couple of times. Also note that these files will be deleted from here in 24 hours, so if you have uploaded files using FTP, make sure to submit your application within 24 hours.

After the file is here, simply fill the form as accordingly and submit your apps. We hope this video was useful. Thank you very much.
