How to Clear Space on Windows PC | Free Up Storage

Here’s a quick way to clean a Windows PC and free up storage by removing unnecessary temporary files. First, open the Start Menu, search for Run, and open it. Type %temp% and click OK. Press Ctrl + A to select all the files, then press Shift + Delete to remove them permanently. If some files cannot be deleted, simply ignore them. Next, open Run again, type SoftwareDistribution, and click OK. Select all the files using Ctrl + A, press Delete, and confirm by clicking Yes. If prompted, click Continue. After that, open This PC, go to the C: drive, open the Windows folder, and then Downloaded Program Files. Any files in this folder can also be deleted.

Now open the Start Menu and search for Disk Cleanup. Select your drive, click OK, and then choose Delete Files. Once the cleanup is complete, open Disk Cleanup again and click Clean up system files. Select the drive, click OK, and choose Delete Files once more. Finally, open the Start Menu, search for Storage Settings, and open Temporary Files. Be very careful with the Downloads folder, as it may contain important files. You can also empty the Recycle Bin if it is no longer needed. The remaining temporary files can be removed as required, although many of them have already been cleaned up in the previous steps. And that’s a quick way to clean a Windows PC.

Thank you very much.
