Disable Laptop’s Built-in Keyboard on Windows
Here’s how you can disable your laptop’s built-in keyboard on a Windows PC using OpenKeyFreeze by SukiBaby. You can easily enable or disable the keyboard by clicking the icon in the taskbar.
To get started, open the OpenKeyFreeze GitHub page and download the application. It is available for both 64-bit and 32-bit PCs. The file size and code are very small. Once downloaded, extract the file and open the .exe file by double-clicking it. After this, you’ll find the OpenKeyFreeze icon in your taskbar’s system tray. When you click on this icon, your keyboard will be locked, and all key input will be disabled. To unlock your keyboard again, simply click the icon once more, and your keyboard will work normally.
If you want OpenKeyFreeze to be available on the taskbar every time your PC restarts, copy the .exe file to:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Please note that the ProgramData folder is hidden, so you’ll need to enable the option to show hidden files. Only add the .exe file to this location if you want OpenKeyFreeze to launch automatically when your PC starts.
If you’re unable to delete the OpenKeyFreeze .exe file, simply restart your PC and then delete it. The reason it couldn’t be deleted earlier might be because the app was running in the background.
Thank you very much!
