Here is a simple, lightweight screen recording software that can record your whole screen or a particular region. This app, Wcap, is a user-friendly software compatible with both Windows 10 and 11 and is less than 66KB in size.

Simply download the application and open the exe file. If you see any warnings, click on More Info and Run Anyway. Now you will find the Wcap shortcut on the taskbar menu. Right-click on it to change the settings and assign the shortcut for recording the screen.

To record, press the shortcut and it will record. Press the shortcut again and the recording will stop. The video will be saved to the Videos folder in the Documents unless allocated a specific folder.
