AI Voice Cloning for FREE – VoiceBox Tutorial

Check out this free open-source voice synthesis studio, VoiceBox, which can easily clone any voice – and it’s absolutely free. You can provide a 30-second sample voice, and it can clone that voice for any text using that sample.

To get started, download VoiceBox from the provided link and install it on your PC. It is available for macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows. Once the installation is complete, open the application and first create the voice you want to clone.

Click on “Create Voice.” You can either start your own recording or upload audio. Make sure to add the reference text matching your sample voice, or you can also transcribe it. Once this is done, give a name to the voice profile, choose your language, and create the profile. After the voice profile has been created, you can use that voice to clone speech – converting text to speech with the sample audio.

Now simply input the text you want to clone using the sample voice. Please note that it will download various models to function, and the size could vary from 3-5 GB or more, so please be patient. Then simply click to generate speech. This process may take some time depending on your PC. A PC with a GPU and NVIDIA graphics will generate audio much faster, while a CPU-only system may take longer. You can also choose from various models and experiment – each model will be downloaded, which may take additional time.

After processing, you can listen to the cloned voice. Our voice clone was quite impressive, so do give it a try and see how it works for your voice. Thank you very much.
