Properly size images to improve WordPress speed optimization using old legacy Gtmetrix report? | 2021

Learn how to speed up WordPress websites by using the correct image sizes using the old legacy Gtmetrix report. The new lighthouse performance report gives the details of the images that need to be properly resized, but unlike the older report, it does not gives you the indication of what height and width the images should be, nor shows the optimized version of the images.  Thus, the old Gtmetrix also called the legacy reports, comes very handy when making changes to images manually as it will give you the exact specifications required for your WordPress websites.

In this tutorial, we will not be using any plugins and only give you a brief idea of how you can go back to the old Gtmetrix and figure out the right image sizes. Here are some other important lessons in optimizing the images for a better score for your website.
