To change the icon of a folder, you will need to convert the images to ICO format. Regular image files will not work. Use any online converting tool to change the format of your image to ICO. Then, on the folder you wish to change the icon for, right-click, go to “Properties,” click on “Customize,” and then select “Change Icon.” Browse the ICO image and you will be able to have your desired image as the folder icon.

However, please do not delete the icon image, as doing so will revert the folder to its default icon. Thank you.
