Snapdrop is now locally on my Windows PC

Learn how to install Snapdrop application locally on your Windows computer. This will allow you to transfer files between devices using Wi-Fi. Snapdrop.net enables easy file exchange between PCs and Android or iPhone devices. However, the site is occasionally down. Hence, installing it on your own PC makes it super easy and reliable without any downtime.

You can find all the Snapdrop files on the GitHub repository. To run it, you will need to install Docker and execute a few commands on the command prompt. The entire download and installation process may take some time, but it is totally worth it.

After everything is done, you should be able to share files locally with Snapdrop. Simply share the IPv4 address and add “:8080”. Then, any devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network will be able to share files.

We hope this step-by-step guide has been valuable to you. Thank you very much.
