Here is how you can keep your original audio and add music to your Instagram. It’s actually super easy, and here is a step-by-step guide.

First, open Instagram and go to the Reels section. Tap the “+” button and select “Reel” to get started. Now, pick the video you want to use. If your video already has sound—like your voice or background audio—you’ll hear it play.

Next, tap on the little audio icon. This is where you can browse Instagram’s music library and choose any song you like. Once you’ve picked a track, you can select the exact part of the song you want to use. Once you’ve set your music, just tap “Done.”

Now, you probably can’t hear your original audio. To fix that, simply tap on the music controls, and you’ll see sliders to adjust the volume for both the original audio and the added music. Slide the original audio up and the music down until it sounds just right. Adjust it however you like. You can even add a voiceover if you want to talk over the video!

Once you’re happy with the audio balance, tap “Next.” Now, choose a cover image, write a caption, add some hashtags, and tap “Share.”
