Copy text without copying format or attributes in Word and other applications

Learn how you can copy text from one document to another in Microsoft Word and other applications without copying formatting and other properties. In most applications, you can use the Ctrl + Shift + V shortcut, and for documents, right-click and select “Keep Text Only” to copy text without formatting.

If neither of these options works, another simple solution is to use Notepad. Copy the text from the source document, open Notepad, and paste it into the Notepad window. Notepad will only copy the text and not any formatting properties. From there, you can copy the text from Notepad and paste it into your target document without any unwanted properties.
