In today’s video, we will quickly learn how to add a blur effect to an image or video on CapCut PC. Whether you’re looking to blur a part of your photo or video, CapCut provides easy-to-use features to achieve the perfect blur effect.

Open CapCut on your PC and import the image or video you want to apply the blur effect to. Duplicate the image/video by pressing Control + C to copy and Control + V to paste, creating a second layer. Next, go to Effects and search for Blur. Instead of placing the blur effect above the image/video layer, drag it directly onto the image/video itself and adjust the blur size as required. Highlight the first image/video and click on the Mask option on the right. Choose the desired shape for the blur effect. Adjust the size and position of the mask as needed.

For videos, since the part you want to blur is moving, add keyframes to adjust the blur’s position over time. Click on the keyframe icon and move the blur effect as the video plays.
